We are based in Glasgow and have a small wee garden and until a few years ago it flourished and the only annoyance was the horrible dreaded fir-looking weed. Just as we were slowing winning this battle the slugs and snails started to multiply and multiply and multiply and the worms started to become extinct. The last two years we have been laying manure on top of the soil in November and the worms have started to return. Speaking to a few neighbours down the road lately they were saying that they had no worms in their gardens at all just slugs and snails. It's time we fought back, some slugs and snails are good but the majority are plant and worm eating gourmets and must be destroyed.
